• Notes

Married: Groom was the youngest son of the late William Evans, magistrate, Grand Bank. Bride was the eldest daughter of J.W. Saunders, J.P., Renews. One St. John's newspaper says the bride's name was Caroline Marion, however the church record gives her name as Caroline Mary Anne. The marriage was performed by Rev. H.H. Hamilton of St. Luke's Anglican Church at Ferryland, but the marriage record doesn't state if the ceremony was at Ferryland or at Renews.
