• Notes

Married: There may have been other children in this marriage, but only four have been identified so far. It is curious that the baptisms for two of their four children, (Mary and John), were recorded in Holy Apostles RC Parish, but no records were found for the other two,(Catherine and Elizabeth), in the parish baptism records in the Ferryland area. However in the 1921 Newfoundland Census, both Catherine and Elizabeth indicated that they were born at Caplin Bay in the 1870s.
