However in the 1935 Newfoundland Census, her age was given as 66. That age indicates that she was born abt. 1869. Her Vital Statistics death record says she was 71 when she died in 1943 (b. abt. 1872). Given that no baptism record was found at Holy Trinity RC Parish, it appears 1869 may be her most credible year of birth.

  There may have been other children in this marriage, but only four have been identified so far. It is curious that the baptisms for two of their four children, (Mary and John), were recorded in Holy Apostles RC Parish, but no records were found for the other two,(Catherine and Elizabeth), in the parish baptism records in the Ferryland area. However in the 1921 Newfoundland Census, both Catherine and Elizabeth indicated that they were born at Caplin Bay in the 1870s.
