- Thomas was a convert form the Church of England and was baptised into the Catholic Church on Oct 11 1874. There is some question on the correct family surname; all events in the parish records list it as Knowsl(e)y, however it may very well have been Noseworthy.

There is a Thomas Noseworthy identifed as being 54, from Newfoundland, on the 1900 Census. The notations are difficult to read but it looks like the address is 903R, Albany Street. It says he had been married for 27 years, but his wife doesn't appear to be listed at this location. His occupation was given as a peddler and that he had come to the US in 1883.

This census shows a Thomas and Catherine Noseworthy, Canada (Eng) living at 221 Eustis? Street. Thomas gave his age as 54 and, although the transcribed record gives Catherine's age as 49*, it is shown as 59 in the original document. They indicated that they had beeen married for 37 years and had two children, but neither one was still living. Thomas said he had come to the US in 1888 and Catherine had arrived the following year in 1889. Thomas' occupation is given as a Retail merchant of produce.
