  Evening Telegram - St. John's- Oct 1 1912 - OBITUARY - Mr. Martin Battcock: The death occurred yesterday at the residence of his sister-in-law Mrs. J. Bulger, Carters Hil, of Mr. Martin Battcock, a native of Brigus South. Mr. Battcock was a man well and favorably known in St. John?s. Of a genial and kindly disposition he made many friends and had very few enemies. The deceased was the brother of Rev. Fr. Battcock, PP Holyrood, came here about a week ago suffering from cancer but there being no spare beds in the hospital he could not be admitted. Today the remains were sent to Brigus overland by Undertaker N.J. Murphy for interment. To the bereaved family and relatives the Telegram extends its condolences.
