Holy Trinity RC Parish, Ferryland, Newfoundland [4] |
- The marriage of this couple was recorded in Robert Carter's Journal on 9 January 1842. The bride's (a widow) surname is spelled Sliney and the groom's surname was spelled Sanders. We don't know if Carter used her maiden name or the surname of her deceased husband. Unfortunately, Robert Carter doesn't mention the location. or in which church they married, but it was likely the Roman Catholic church since their marriage is not recorded in the Ferryland Anglican marriages. Headstone records show they are both buried in Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Cemetery.
