  Notes	William was the son of George and Rebecca Oakley. OAKLEY, William Edward - August 13, 2005. Passed away peacefully at his home in Chamberlains, William Edward Oakley, aged 102, born in Greenspond, Bonavista Bay. Predeceased by his wife Betty (Vavasour); sister Helena Skanes and brother Ronald. Left with wonderful memories are his daughters: Joan, Judy (with whom he resided); grandson William Dandenault; granddaughter Jessica Oakley; special nephew Ron Skanes (Jean); nieces: Angela Dyke, Betty Ann Starkes (Bob), Carol Rolls (Jack); nephew Robert Johnston (Carol); and sister-in-law Doris Vavasour. At his request cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 17 at 2 p.m. at Barrett's Chapel, 328 Hamilton Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the charity of ones choice.
