Bernard indicated that he was born in Ireland; Mary was born in Newfoundland of Irish parents. Both Bernard and Mary said they had come to the US in 1886. Bernard Sr. was still employed as a fireman at a power station. Again this census states that both of Mary's parents were born in the Irish Free state (Ireland). In this census, Mary said she had entered the US in 1884.
