  The Vital Statistic Death records says he was 85, but the Evening Telegram obituary says he was in his 87th year. Evening Telegram - March 26, 1913 At Cape Broyle, Walter Clancey, age 87 years. Leaving 2 dgts and one son. Old Landmark gone. There died at Caplin Bay a few days ago one of its oldest and respected residents in the person of Walter Clancey. The deceased was in his 87 year and was the type of good old time fisherman. He leaves one son, James, who resides in the USA and two dgts, one housekeeper at the Palace and the other, Mrs. Clara Hartery of Cape Broyle.
