On the same day, another immigration record shows that Edward Foley, born in 1858 in Newfoundland, entered Boston, Massachusetts, United States, sailing from Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, on the ship Worcester.

  In the 1900 US Census, it appears that Edward, his wife Mary, and his sisters Flora and Katheren (sic) were all living in the same household in Bristol, Connecticut. It was recorded that Edward moved to the US in 1892, Mary in 1893, and both Flora and Katheren arrived there in 1895.

  In the 1910 US Census, Edward and Mary lived at Jacob St. in Bristol, Connecticut with an adopted daughter named Lillian. Contrary to the 1900 US Census, this census states that Edward entered the US in 1896.

  In the 1920 US Census, the surname was recorded as Fouley or Fowley, likely due to its phonetic rendering in the Irish Newfoundland dialect. Their adopted daughter, Lillian, was still living with them. Some of the given information was incorrect, possibly given by Lillian. It states that Edward was born in Newfoundland but Mary was born in Nova Scotia. It gives their immigration years as 1885 and 1886 respectively. The family was still living on Jacob St.
