  Richard Delahunty (aka Dullanty) moved to Caplin Bay from Ferryland after his marriage to Maggie Power in 1903. The Delahuntys have been almost exclusively associated with Ferryland, although the Ferryland Census of 1800 shows two family groups named Dullanty, one at Ferryland and one at Brigus South. I have concluded that Richard's family likely had its origin from the Brigus South group, since in 1800 the family at Ferryland had no sons.
