Honora(h) "Nora" Ryan

1730s - Yes, date unknown

• Name	Honora(h) Ryan
Honora(h) is a common Irish female forename often abbreviated as Nora(h). It may also be rendered and spelled (in Irish) as Nóirín (meaning 'little Nora') or spelled (in English) as Noreen.
  Nickname	Nora
  Born	1730s	Ireland or Newfoundland?
In some Nash family lore, it is believed that Thomas' wife was named Nora Ryan, however, there are no documented records to verify his wife's name, surname, her place of birth, and place of death. There are also some references that state her place of birth was Burin, Newfoundland. Another part of the Nash family lure is that Thomas and Nora had seven children, i.e. five sons and two daughters, at Caplin Bay, likely in the 1760 to the 1780s.

Family	Thomas Nash,   b. 1730s, Callan, Co. Kilkenny, Ireland? ,   d. Abt 1810, Branch, St. Mary's Bay, Newfoundland
  Married	1760s?	Newfoundland or Ireland
There is no indication where this couple married. Since religious freedom had not yet been granted in Newfoundland, they may have been married by a clandestine travelling priest, or they could have been married in Ireland. Most research information states that Thomas Nash and his wife had seven children (5 sons, 2 daughters) at Caplin Bay. While there is general agreement on the sons names, some information suggest that the daughters were named Mary and Margaret rather than Ellen and Honorah.
