Notes	Thomas Evoy was the godfather at the 1872 baptism of James Kelly, son of Martin Kelly and Anastasia Kane. I suspect that Thomas married Martin Kelly's sister, Catherine, in 1874. Thomas Evoy appears to be the last male bearing that surname recorded in the Ferryland area. I have speculated that he was likely the son of John Evoy, and grandson of Patrick and Catherine Evoy of Caplin Bay. No later records have been found to prove or disprove this possibility. All references to the Evoy surname disappeared from Ferryland District church records after the baptism of Thomas' daughter in 1878.
