No Barry's were recorded in the Voters Lists in Ferryland District until 1849. In three of the Voters Lists (1849, 1852, 1855), William's place of abode was recorded as Wren's Nest, the area on the hillside, along the main road to and from Ferryland. While William died in May 1858, the Voters List for Caplin Bay was not updated for 1859 and William was incorrectly recorded there, living in the general area referred to as Riverhead.
