    Research Overview:
    Richard Delahunty (aka Dullanty) moved to Caplin Bay from Ferryland after his marriage to Maggie Power in 1903. The Delahuntys have been almost exclusively associated with Ferryland, although the Ferryland Census of 1800 shows two family groups named Dullanty, one at Ferryland and one at Brigus South. I have concluded that Richard's family likely had its origin from the Brigus South group, since in 1800 the family at Ferryland had no sons.

    The transcription on this census is not too good, family was recorded as Greever. The family was living at 45 Acton St. in Maynard, MA.They had been married 3 years and the census appears to show that John had entered the US in 1895(blurred). John's was working as a percher? at the woolen mills. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    The family was recorded as living at 6 Pond Lane in Concord. It is noted that John was born in Newfoundland and came to the US in 1898, becoming a naturalized US citizen in Nov. 1902. It is also stated that John's father was born in Newfoundland and his mother tongue was English, but his mother was born in Ireland and her mother tongue was Irish. This information seems to be confused in many of the census, which leads me to wonder how the enumerator asked the questions to gather this data. It would indicate to me that the Greenes were of English origin and the Delahuntys were of Irish origin. (Kevin Reddigan).
