 Bef 1866 - 1935 (~ 62 years)
Generation: 1
| 1. | Michael Power was born Before 1866, Caplin Bay, Newfoundland; died Between 1928 and 1935, Calvert, Newfoundland; was buried Between 1928 and 1935, Holy Trinity RC Cemetery, Ferryland, Ferryland District, Newfoundland, Canada. Notes:
Birth:
In the 1921 Census, Michael's age was given as 49 (born about 1872) However, no baptism record was found for this individual suggesting he was likely born before 1870. In the census, Michael's recorded age is three years older than his brother William, with whom he lived. If he was older than William, then based on the 1940 Vital Statistics death age (74) for William, it is likely that Michael was born before 1866. The 1928 Voter's Lists indicate that Michael was eligible to vote that year but he is missing from the 1935 Census. Evidence that Michael was the eldest son seems plausible since he may have been named for of his grandfathers, both of whom were named Michael.
Died:
Michael is recorded in the 1928 Calvert Voters List but he is not shown in the 1935 Newfoundland Census.
