Birth:
People tend to think that the use of "Joseph" is an error and that it should be Josephine. However, for a number of years it was quite common in Roman Catholic families to use "Joseph" as a second name. This was considered an adoration of St. Joseph, the husband of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Mary married James McDonald 18 Sep 1882, Notre-Dame-du-Bon-Conseil, Montréal, Quebec, Canada. James was born 12 Feb 1866, St. John's, Newfoundland; died Aft 1921. [Group Sheet]
